Ami Moore, The Chicago Dog Whisperer, has titled in dogs in obedience and agilityand has
trained dogs in the sports of tracking and herding. She has trained Assistance Dogs for adults and children with a wide variety of mental,
emotional, physical and spiritual disabilities.
Her first and true love is
canine behavior modification and problem solving. Ami Moore has pioneered the use of electric dog training equipment as positive reinforcement, and combined this groundbreaking innovation with the dog's natural drive to follow a strong leader.

Dog Whispering as an occupation developed along side Horse Whispering in the UK, and is now an accepted vocation worldwide in the combined fields of dog training and dog behavior modification.
Dog Whispering is an art more than a science; an art that can be taught to anyone who has the will, skill, time and commitment to opening up to the ways of the dog. Generally, dog whispering is done with a minimum of equipment. The Dog Whisperer uses a system of touch and tone, or "TNT" to connect with the dog, and to override and realign the dog's erratic and unbalanced brain waves and energy meridians.
Sounds like voodoo, looks like voodoo, works like voodoo; which means it works really, really well, and science can't explain how. Science does not yet have the technology to reveal the the how's and why's, but they are getting closer every day.

From my point of view, a proper
and balanced dog-human relationship is something that every person who has dogs
in their life should experience, just as everyone should experience falling in
love.
Student's ask me why I train my dogs, I tell them that "From my point of
view, I train because I am very, very lazy and I want to to where I want, when
I want; and I want to take my dogs with me when I go." And then, I always add, " Training dogs, my personal
dogs, equals freedom for for them. I want my dogs to have a beautiful life from
a dog's point of view. For a dog that means he has someone to follow and
somewhere to go. I want my dogs to be "lucky dogs" not liabilities.

From what I have seen, "Dogs that live their lives
tied to a tree or exiled to a yard behind a wooden fence or an electric
fence are dogs that have ugly lives. They never go anywhere, they don't do
anything, they are all alone, all of the time. Poor things. From a dog's point of view, it is like
being in Hell."
I ask my student's to think about this,"The dog has no
pack to become a part of; he can't be with his leader, and he never goes
anywhere. How is that existence beautiful?"

and have a "Lucky Dog" that
travels with you wherever you go, without a leash or collar. Or you can choose to be your dog's "Lover," your dog will see you as a "Loser," and you will own an expensive "Liability."

ALPHA-TUDE,
AMIABILITY, ACTIVITY |
When the
human keeps his promise to his dog by providing: Alpha-tude, Ami-ability, Activity, and last, in small doses, Affection.
This in turn creates the best
condition for the dog; emotional surrender, mental subordination, and physical
submission to a leader; then in your hand you hold a real and true
'relationship' with your dog.
Without this submission and surrender to
the human will, the dog is as a wild beast: unreliable, untrustworthy, and
unpredictable. It is the job of the human to lead, to fulfill the
dogs most basic primal need; to follow, and thus put the dog in touch with his "inner wolf".
Wolves in the wild are not neurotic, aren't needlessly
aggressive, don't have separation anxiety, aren't obese, aren't hyperactive and
aren't obsessive-compulsive. Our beloved suburban/urban dogs don't need to be
burdened with these afflictions anymore, either.
If you want to see an
angel on Earth, look to the wolf in your lap.

Loser-Tude™ energy is soft, withdrawing, afraid, too much or too little, anxious, nervous, smothering, slave-like, cloying, sweet, over-nurturing, smothering, weak, slow, inactive, ineffective, excessively verbal, over-emotional, abstract, too loud, too soft, untrustworthy, vacillating, uneven, unpredictable, hysterical, unrealistic, inefficient, reactive yin-style energy.
In general, those who act as if they are their dogs 'lovers', constantly, often unconsciously fondling, touching, kissing, hugging, feeding, baby-talking to the dog are projecting this energy. These are dog owners who are always pulled down the street by their crazy, rude, out-of-control dog!
In Nature, a creature with weak or introverted energy is either a puppy or dinner; two items that are never in a position to be respected or obeyed. Dogs need leaders, not lovers. If you act as if you are your dog's lover, you are a loser (from the point of view of your dog) and not fit to lead or to be obeyed.
Strong, forward moving,commanding, authoritative, guiding, balanced, harmonious, kind, mothers-not-smothers, happy, instinctive, just, firm, fair, calm, bright, salty, non-verbal,
physical, concrete, consistent, constant, compassionate, male but not macho, proactive, just-enough, just-in-time, practical, realistic, active, yang-style steady energy is considered
Alpha-Tude energy.
The correct and proper
transfer of energy between dog and dog owner, a relationship, amiability. This means that
you should be able to make your dog do three things, anywhere, anytime
and anyplace: show mental submission, spiritual surrender, and physical
subordination.
A key element of this is that he dog stay behind you while you walk, regardless as to whether you have a leash or not. This is accomplished by using the tools of dog whispering to unlock the natural genetic treasure of good behavior that lies within the dog.
In the natural world, the Alpha pair determines when the pack will to do everything: eat, sleep, hunt, fight and have sex. In order to get this control, the Alpha does not take the wolf pack to obedience school!
The great big dirty secret in the dog training world is that obedience training is a total scam! You don't need obedience training if you have Farfenflugle. The dog is already geneticly compelled to naturally do all the obedience skills:sit, down, wait, come, stay, back-up, off, bite, not bite, once he has embraced his role as your follower.
If you do not have Farfenflugle then no matter how much obedience training you have done with your dog, when the chips are down the dog will always tell you "NO".
Dog Whispering is based upon the natural way that dogs communicate with each other. Nature provides the model for us with the wild Wolf
Pack. The Alpha dog/bitch can ask and get those three things,submission, surrender and subordination, from any member of
the pack anytime he wants, anywhere he wants and anyplace he wants. It is a pure, simple, natural, holistic, communication method.
In a perfect and balanced relationship, the dog
has the responsibility to attend to and anticipate the actions of his
owner-alpha or 'master'. The dog must be taught how to "go along to get along" according to the rules, regulations and limitations of the urban human lifestyle.
Amiability is all about the dog, the dog's education, the dog's experiences; the dog's understanding of his responsibilities in your world. Alphatude by contrast, is all about the human being. Usually in dysfunctional dog/human households, the
humans spend 99% of their time and energy attending and anticipating the dogs
every whim and passing fancy.
When you see this on the streets of your
neighborhood, it is typically a human being dragged around by a dog on a
retractable leash. You can't get obedience or proper relationship if you are following the dog.

A skilled dog whisperer can walk as many as 30-60 dogs of any breed off-leash together, none will forge ahead, and the dogs will obey as if they were of one mind and body. There are other components to "Activity" but none are as important as the daily walk.
The last
and least, of the supporting cornerstone of ahappy, balanced canine relationship.
Affection can come in the form of may be soft words, a gentle touch, pats, rubs, massages, kisses on the
forehead, rough play, chasing games, running games, fetching games, social privileges, water, food or loving
eye contact or freedom.
The physical language of
dogs/wolves/coyotes and our words used to describe it, this is their language and culture. Dingo-Lingo is system of body
language that dogs use communicate with each other and with us, people. It
consists of 26 basic body movements and postures that can be combined in an infinite number of possibilities.
How/when/where and to whom these signals are delivered and received creates the geometry of Dingo-Lingo. The secret lies in the lines, curves, angles, trajectory, space and speed of delivery.
