Why does it
cost so much?
There are three phases to
training your dog. At Doggie Do Right-911 we do not use a cookie cutter
approach, we design a program to compliment your dog's personaility and
learning style.
We are a small, service oriented boutique, we
personally train all dogs ourselves, we do not send dogs to out-of-state farm
camps, we train them right here in downtown Chicago.
PSYCH REHAB: We rehabilitate the dog on both the
mental and emotional levels. Using our special techniques we create balance and
harmony and create a desire in your dog to cooperate with people. Where before
there was choas, we create calmness.
EMO-ED: Dogs can think and make complicated
choices much like people can. We teach your dog how to control his feelings,
how to problem solve, and feel a desire to please you. We teach the dogs all
exercises through enlivening the natural drives of the dog, we use the three
primary drives that Nature has genetically pre-installed in the dog. These
drives are the Drive to Please and The Drive to Make Prey, as Well as the Drive
for Peace.
RESPONSIBILITY: Once the dog is realigned and
education, we then move on to the next phase which instills a sense of
responsibility in the dog, as well as a work ethic. This means that the dog
will work to keep the new rules, rights and responsibilities that he has
learned with us sharp when he is returned to your home.

Is my dog going to be trained to
behave outside the training facility, in a real world situation?
Generally, yes. Much depends on the reason why the dog
is in the Board and Train Program. Since we do not accept dogs for training
that have killed human beings or killed other dogs, most dogs are able to
eventually go on walk outside the training facility.

Where will
my dog stay at the training facility?
All dogs are housed
indoors, in separate kennels, in an environment that is climate controlled in
the summer and the winter.
When my dog
is allowed outside, will my dog be supervised?
Board and Train dogs are
not allowed outside without direct human supervision. We generally like to
teach our dogs games that they can play in a cooperative manner with people. We
prefer structured games like fetch, hide and seek or tracking games.
When will I
be able to contact the trainer about your dog?
By phone or email, most
calls/emails will be returned within 24 hours.
When will I
be able to visit my dog during the training program?
No. This tends to
over-excite the dogs and over-excite the owners. Many times after these
emotional visits, the dog will refuse to eat, develop diarrhea or become
depressed. If a dog is not feeling well, we can not train it. In the end,
these visits stress the dog, stress the owner and retard the dog's ability to
learn and retain new information.
