| WHAT OUR HAPPY CLIENT'S SAY...IT WORKS! |

Hi Ami,
So far our walks and agility training are going very well. Some days she seems to look forward to it, others not so much, but its improving. Stella adjusted very quickly to NOT sleeping in the bed, which is fantastic!
And is doing great with her 4 new rules. We are still working hard on her barking at the doorbell and knocks on the door, she has learned not enter the hallyway (yeah!), but it takes a few tries to get the barking to a minimum. Mark and I have been working with her on the weekends, trying to mimic the situation when you were there, to get her used to the doorbell. I am keep my fingers crossed.
Overall I am sooo happy that I had you come out that day. I am amazed at how responsive Stella has been and I know she will only continue to improve as I keep working with her.
The word about your skills has spread around the office. Apparently, many of my coworkers have some problems with their pups as well.
Thanks again! Kelly and Stella of Chicago, Illinois

Hi Ami -
Happy New Year. Hope you are doing well. We wanted to
check in with you and let you know that we survived
the first week. We actually have had a great week with
them. We set them up in the basement with dog beds and
a gate, it is a little better than the crates. When we
tell them to go to bed they both go downstairs and we
shut the gate. Jake sleeps on the stoop and Maddi
sleeps on her bed. They have been staying out of Max's
room with the off command and laying at the door. As
far as walking and the park goes it has been great
with the good weather.
They went to Rover's twice this
week. Once Maddi was separted into the smaller dogs
and she was fine and then the second time they put her
with the big dogs and she was a little sore. Matt and
I both have taken them to the park on separate
occasions and they have been walking together well and
have been playing and coming when called.
Today Matt took them to
the park and Maddi walked home with no leash and there
was a dog coming and someone jogging and she stayed
next to him on the right and then walked next to Jake
on the left. As far as people coming over they have
been laying down until they are free to say hello. So
far so good. Hopefully the weather holds up so we can
continue taking them to the park, if not they are
getting a good workout at Rover's. Maddi is going to
the vet in a week to have her back leg checked out.
So we are surviving.
Also I wanted to tell you that my dad was over a couple of weeks ago and he was so amazed at how calm the dogs were, he said it really does work, so thanks for helping us achieve that.
Talk to you soon.
Take Care
Sara, Matt, Max, Maddi and Jake in The Highland Park

Hi Ami,
No you were not too hard on Mary. She knew she had a problem, but hearing it so directly from you has given her the impetus she needed to fix it. I think all your explanation of pack behavior really sunk in, and she realizes that she can love Max and discipline him at the same time.
Max is very subdued. We had a beautiful walk early this morning. He is much better with Mary when she responds to him, he really seems to be getting it as she is more aggressive with her corrections.
We worked with the mailbox this afternoon - Mary outside, me inside with Max and he has a way to go with that one. But he got excited watching a woman walk her dog in front of the house, and began his routine lunging and growling at the front window, and I was able to subdue him very quickly with one tap, and he then sat quietly and watched them pass. I then touched his chest and told him "good" and had him sit for a few more minutes. It was very good.
Then this afternoon he was out in the back yard, chained, and someone started to come down the alley. I grabbed his chain and gave one good correction. He came up onto the porch and sat next to me looking up at me.
So all in all, 24 hours later I am feeling good about this. It seems as though the 2 hours with you sort of opened him up somehow, and I feel that as we continue to work this, I am pretty positive that we are going to get good results.
I thank you very much for all of your insight. You put so much into words what we needed to hear, especially Mary. She has taken him for a walk but other than that has not touched him at all today, and she also feels very positive that this will work.
Thanks again Ami - I will keep you posted.

"The more equipment you have on a dog (collars, head halters, harnesses, straps, bells, whistles and clickers), the less of that dog is under your control. At most, all you have is a insecure grip on the physical body. But not a real connection. Not a mental connection, not an emotional connection, definitely not a spiritual connection."
